Director of communications and influence
Teri Wade has more than 25 years of experience leading nonprofit communications and marketing programs for organizations in a variety of fields, including health and human services, education, philanthropy, and social research. She has served as a strategic communications consultant to numerous mission-driven organizations, helping them to develop strategies that build their visibility and influence. She currently serves as Director of Communications and Influence at The Rippel Foundation, a nonprofit operating foundation that works with health-focused partners throughout the United States to foster a future of equitable health and well-being for all. Before joining Rippel, Wade was the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Amida Care, a Medicaid managed care health plan specializing in comprehensive coverage and coordinated care for New Yorkers affected by HIV. She previously served as Managing Director of Pro-Media Communications, a bi-coastal public relations firm specializing in social advocacy; Vice President for Communications at the Foundation Center (now known as Candid), a national organization that advances knowledge about philanthropy and the social sector; and Director of Marketing at Baruch College/CUNY.
Wade is on the Board of Directors of Ariva, a nonprofit organization that empowers low-wealth New Yorkers with financial management tools and assistance to help them achieve economic stability. She earned a master’s degree in corporate communication from Baruch College/CUNY and a B.A. in media studies from Fordham University. In 2019, she was recognized with a Schneps Media Power Women in Business award.
