David Cook
Honeywell
David is responsible for leading Honeywell’s communications team across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), a region that includes all the company’s global businesses, representing approximately 30,000 employees. Among his top priorities are to drive the communications strategies and programs to support Honeywell in becoming the world’s leading software-industrial company driving digital transformation across advanced industries.
David has more than 20 years of international communications experience; prior to Honeywell he led Canon’s internal and external communications functions across EMEA, (2017-2021), where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the communications strategy across B2B and B2C for all stakeholder groups.
Before that he was based in Singapore where he led the communications team for General Electric’s (GE) Global Growth Organization (2012-2016), with a primary focus around supporting GE’s growth in all markets outside of the US and for managing GE’s reputation with top tier influencers globally.
Prior to joining GE, David spent 12 years at Cisco (1999-2012), most recently building and running Cisco’s communications team in Asia Pacific and China (2008-2012), with responsibility for all external and internal communications functions and for Cisco’s Globalization Centre in Bangalore, India. Earlier roles at Cisco included leading Cisco’s European PR group (2006-2008), after spending several years in Corporate PR managing thought leadership campaigns, crisis communications, M&A and C-Suite communications at industry and business events such as the World Economic Forum, Davos.
David has travelled extensively and has a genuine passion for the developing world having grown up in Zambia and Papua New Guinea. He is an active participant in endurance sports events and currently lives in Surrey, England, where he and his family have lived for the past five years.
